The “warm handshake” to best take care of people’s health with traditional medicine

That is PGS’s statement. Dr. Pham Vu Khanh – Director of the Department of Management and Traditional Medicine (Ministry of Health) at the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between the Central Acupuncture Hospital and the Institute for Traditional Medicine Research and Development in Hanoi, January 18th. According to Assoc. Dr. Pham Vu Khanh, the signing ceremony between the two traditional medicine units is very special, especially for the first time in this field is the cooperation between a unit of the State (Central Acupuncture Hospital ) and a private one (Vietnam Traditional Medicine Research and Development Institute under Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations). In addition, the “handshake” between these two units will contribute to the preservation and development of traditional medicine in Vietnam and in the process of implementation, if any difficulties, the Department of Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy will listen, Exchanges to disengage towards the common goal of best health care.

Accordingly, the Central Acupuncture Hospital and the Vietnam Traditional Medicine Research and Development Institute have signed a cooperation agreement to contribute to the development of services related to traditional medicine such as: medical treatment, scientific research, training, human resource development, combining traditional medicine and modern medicine, developing hi-tech techniques, producing products in the field of traditional medicine transmission. The two units will have collaborative programs under 6 things. It is a partnership, cooperation between the parties on training (transfer of biotechnology, medical technology, acupuncture), scientific research, support for high technical services (oxygen bath, combined with central hospital K to improve patients’ condition after chemotherapy, surgery for cancer patients …); Cooperation in the field of bidding, supply of pharmaceutical materials, Perform traditional medicine functions; Cooperative research and production of traditional medicine and medicine, functional food … The cooperation time between the Central Acupuncture Hospital and the Traditional Medicine Research and Development Institute is 20 years.
